Supplies you will need for this tutorial:
A tube of choice. I used Maddy by Keith Garvey you may find his work here)
Roses tube found here
Word art found here
plugins:
AlienSkin Xenofex you may find it here
Graphics Plus you may find it here
If you dont know how to install PlugIns then go here
Open tube
duplicate twice minimize for later
choose two colors, one light one dark (they dont have to be colors from your tube.)
New image
width 400 height 300
flood fill new image with dark color
Bring up one of your copied tubes
crop image
I am using Garv's Maddy I cropped her head.
I also resized her head by 200 % to make it fit on the background.
Depending on the size of your tube determines how much you can resize your image.
After you resize your cropped image copy it
Click on image with your dark color and go to
edit
paste as new layer
change opacity to 50
Drop shadow using these settings
repeat with -3's
This next part requires you have your layer palette open
Go to bottom layer
go to effects
plugins
and find Alienskin Xenofex 2
Use Rip Open
Use the following settings which should be your default
drop shadow
new layer
arrange
send to bottom
flood fill with light color
effects
plug ins
Graphic plus
use Cut Glass with the following settings
Layers
Merge visible
go to rose tube
Copy
paste it as new layer
with a drop shadow of 1
Place it towards the bottom
Go to the 2nd copy u made of your tube earlier
resize this image to fit.
Mine is 500px tall I am resizing to 50% this amount will
vary depending on the tube/image you use for this tut
copy your resized tube
go to your working image
edit paste as new layer
Image
mirror
and place to the right hand side
(prefence applies here your choice which side )
Dropshadow
repeat with -3
layers
merge visible
go to word art
Now this again is your choice. You can keep it as is or you can change the color of it to
match your image/colors.
copy word art
paste as new layer
position where u like it.
I placed mine to the left so u can see her face on the background.
layers merge
next go to your text tool and choose your font.
For this one I am using Saginaw size 36 as vector.
Place your text
stretch it turn it manipulate it as you please.
Once that is done
drop shadow
repeat using -1
then go to Adjust
blur
average
layers merge
your done Congrats
