This tutorial was written in PSPX2 but is also compatible with all PSP versions.
You will also need a basic working knowledge of PSP and animation shop for this tutorial
Supplies used for this tutorial are as follows:
Scrap kit by Missy Butterfly Kisses.
If you do not already have this kit you may find it here
A tube of your choice. I chose the beautiful artwork of Zindy Nielson
You may find her tubes for sale here.
You may also find some free to use images of hers here
Masks, pearl, and animation can be found here
Now we begin
Open a new image 500 X 500 transparent
(this will be referred to throught out the lesson as your "working image")
Select all
Find a paper of your choice from Missy's Butterfly Kisses and open it in PSP
Copy the paper and close it
Make your working image active
go to Edit
then Paste Into Selection
Now go to selections and select none.
Find another paper from Missy's scrap kit and open it in PSP
Copy it then close it
go back to your working image
go to Edit
Paste As New Layer
Go to Image
Free Rotate
use the following settings
left, 90, all unchecked
Open mask 037 in PSP
make your working image active
go to Layers
New Mask From Image
and make sure you use the following settings
Layers, Merge Group
go to Selections
Select All
go to selections again and choose float
go back and use defloat
Go to Effects
Drop Shadow and use the following settings
1,1,70,2
repeat the drop shadow this time with -1's
Select none
Now go to your selection tool and make sure you use these settings
Rectangle selection settings at add shift, feather none, and anti alias unchecked
Go to your mask layer and outline your inside rectangle on your mask with your selection tool
go to Layers
New Layer
Now open your tube of choice in PSP and copy it
Click on your working image and paste into selection
(Depending on the tube you use you may have to do this differently to make it fit properly in the area)
KEEP SELECTION ACTIVE
Use the following dropshadow on the tube layer which you should be the active layer
1,1,40,1
Layer, New Raster Layer,3d Effects, Cutout
Use the following settings
1, 1, 100, 10 black
New layer repeat cutout with these settings
-1, -1, 100, 10
Close off the bottom layer of your working image
make sure a visible layer is active.
Go to layers, Merge, Merge All Visible.
Select None
Image free rotate and use the following settings
Open pearl, copy it.
Go to your working image and paste as a new layer
Resize your pearl to 40 % make sure all layers is unchecked when you resize
Move pearl to a corner on the mask where the lines meet.
go to Dropshadow and use the following settings
go to layers duplicate, move pearl to the oppostite corner
repeat two more times
Go to Missy's scrapkit and pick an element, I chose a flower and open it in PSP
copy it and paste as a new layer on your working image.
Resize to 40% and use the same drop shadow as on the pearl
Layer duplicatemove to opposite corner
(make sure that the flowers are moved down underneath the pearls)
PIck a tag out of the elements of Missy's scrap kit and open it in PSP
Move this layer down under the flower layer
resize tag layer if you must
Drop shadow and use the following settings
1,1,70,2
repeat the drop shadow this time with -1's
Now choose a font and a contrasting color
I used the font Elegant Elite and chose color #471011
make font on vectorso u can turn it
Write the phrase "Tainted"
Stretch turn and manipulate this as you see fit
Drops shadow and use the following settings
V 19, H 10, Opacity 60, blur 2, Color 404040
layers merge visible
Click on bottom layer and make it visible
open mask 050 Layers, New From Mask Layer
use the same settings as with the other mask
layers merge group
Now place the proper credits to the artist you used as per their TOU
Now write your name on vector
Turn it 90 degrees to where it will fiit on the tag
stretch your name if you need too
Layers merge visible
Now save this image as PNG
Now open image in animation shop
Take the animation and open it in animation shop as well.
There is 21 layers to thsi animation
Take your working image you opened in PSP and copy your frames till you have 21 layers
Go to edit
Select all frames
go back to the animation
go to edit select all frames and copy
Click on working image and go to edit and paste
Then paste into selected frames.
Place animation how you like it and then save
