BabyVDezign PSP Tutorial Luv Bug
This tutorial was written in PSPX2 but is also compatible with all PSP versions.
You will also need a basic working knowledge of PSP for this tutorial
Items used in this tutorial are as follows:
Scrap kit Lady Bug Luv by BabyVDezign. You can purchase it here.
a mask of choice.
a tube of your choice
The tube I used is Playful by Keith Garvey.

Make a new transparent image 600 X 600
* this will be referred to as our WORKING IMAGE throughout the tutorial*
Go to scrap kit and pick a paper you want to use open it in PSP
* for those using my kit I used paper24*
Go to Edit, Copy and close the paper
go to your working image and then edit paste as new layer
Open your mask in PSP
Go to Layer,
New Mask Layer
from image
Click ok
Now go to selections then select all,
Go back to selections then float, selections then defloat.
Back to Selections again, click select none.
Now go and pick out a few frames. I picked out the pink and light blue one.
Open the frames in PSP and resize them down to 24% * do this to each frame you want used in the picture.
Edit copy ,
go to your working image
Edit paste as new layer
go to layers Duplicate.
Click on the top circle frame and drag it to where you want it placed. I made mine on the oppposite side and
up a little bit.
Now grab your other frame if you didnt already resize it then do so now.
Edit copy,
go to working image edit paste as new layer and place how you like it.
I left mine in the center but moved it a little bit to the left and lowered it some.
PLACEMENT IS ALL PERSONAL PREFERENCE.
Now go to your magic wand and select inside one of your frames.
Go to Selections, Modify, and Expand.
Change the number there to 6 and click ok.
Now go back to the scrap kit and chose another paper * I picked paper8* and open it in PSP
Go to edit, copy and close it out.
Go back to your working image select the layer UNDER your frame you are working with.
Edit paste as new layer.
Go to selections, Invert, then hit the delete button on your keyboard.
Go back to Selctions and hit select None.
You will need to do this for every frame that you have on your working image.
Now using your magic wand again select the inside of your first frame again.
Go to selections, modify, expand by 6
Now open your tube you are going to use in PSP.
Copy the tube and go to your working image and paste it as a new layer
* MAKE SURE IT IS UNDER YOUR FRAME YOU HAVE IN SELECTION*
Take the tube and move it into the selected frame and lower it to where just the head is in the frame area.
Go to Selections, invert, and hit the delete key on your keyboard.
Go to selections, Select none.
and use the following Drop shadow
Go to your second frame * the middle one* and using your magic wand select the inside of the cirle.
Go to Selections, Expand by 6 click ok.
Edit paste as new layer * MAKE SURE TUBE IS UNDER FRAME* and move it to where the torso of the tube is in the frame.
Go to selections, Invert, hit delete on your keyboard.
Go to selections, select none. Use the same dropshadow.
Go to your third frame using your magic wand select the inside of it.
Go to selctions, expand by 6 click ok.
Edit paste as new layer * MAKE SURE TUBE IS UNDER FRAME* move tube and raise it to where the lower part is in the frame.
Go to Selections, Invert and then hit the delete key.
Go to Selections, Select none and use the same drop shadow as the other two parts of the tube.
Go to each frame and click give them the same drop shadow.
After all three have it do it again to all three frames
but change the 2's to -2's
Now to add your elements to your tag.
Pick * I used bow 3*
open it in PSP and resize it down to 25 %
Edit, Copy, Click on working image and place as new layer.
Go to Effects, Dropshadow and use the following settings.
Click Ok
Now open a flower * I chose flower 5 *
Open in PSP and resize to 25%.
Edit, Copy select your working image and go to Edit, Paste a new layer
Place where you like it and then to go effects and dropshadow use the same settings as before.
Now go pick out 2 buttons and open them in PSP. * I used button 1 and 3 *
Resize them to 15 %
Edit, Copy one and place it in the middle of the bow.
Edit Copy the other button and place it in the middle of the flower.
Pick two ladybugs and open them in PSP
Resize both down to 10 %
Edit, Copy and place as new layer on the working image.
You can arrange these how ever you like.
I rotated mine some.
To do this go to image, free rotate and use the following settings
Now pick a font and a contrasting color that you like.
* font I used is Apple Garamond size 24 points, the colors Foreground #dcf5cb Background #5bba1a*
Make sure to create your font on vector so you can turn it slightly
Write your name / saying and place it on your tag.
Turn slightly * depending on how you want it to look*.
Once you are satisfied with how it looks
go to Effects, Dropshadow and use the following settings
click ok
Now go back to your tube
Edit, Copy and paste her as a new layer.
Place her where you want her to go and use the folowing drop shadow on her.
If you used a Pay to Use image for your tube now is the time to add the copyrights and your license numebr to the tag.
Go to layers merge , All flatten and save.
